Prof. Saman Halgamuge / University of Melbourne, Australia

Prof. Saman Halgamuge is a Fellow of IEEE, a Professor in the School of Electrical, Mechanical and Infrastructure Engineering and a Distinguished Lecturer of IEEE for Computational Intelligence (2019-2021). He served as Director/Head, Research School of Engineering of the Australian National University (ANU) (2016-18), a member of Australian Research Council (ARC) College of Experts for Engineering, Information and Computing Sciences (2016-18), the founding Director of the PhD training centre Melbourne India Postgraduate Program (MIPP) of University of Melbourne and Associate Dean (2013-15) and Assistant Dean (2008-13) in International Engagement in the Melbourne School of Engineering.
Prof. Weineng Chen / South China University of Technology, China

Prof. Weineng Chen received the bachelor’s and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China, in 2006 and 2012, respectively. Since 2016, he has been a Full Professor with the School of Computer Science and Engineering, South China University of Technology, Guangzhou, where he is also the vice dean of the school. He has co-authored over 100 international journal and conference papers, including more than 50 papers published in the IEEE Transactions journals. His current research interests include computational intelligence, swarm intelligence, network science and their applications.
Prof. Chen was a recipient of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) Outstanding Dissertation Award in 2016, and the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars, China in 2016. He is currently the Vice-Chair of the IEEE Guangzhou Section. He serves as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, and the Complex & Intelligent Systems.
Prof. Zhiwen Yu / South China University of Technology, China  

Prof. Zhiwen Yu is a Professor in School of Computer Science and Engineering, South China University of Technology, China.He received the Ph.D. degree from the City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, in 2008. The research areas of Dr. Yu focus on data mining, machine learning, pattern recognition and intelligent computing.Dr. Yu has authored or coauthored more than 150 refereed journal articles and international conference papers, including 56 articlesin the journals of IEEE Transactions. He is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on systems, man, and cybernetics: systems. Dr. Yu is in charge of or take part in more than 30 research projects, such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China (the Key Program、the General Program and the Youth Program), National Natural Science Foundation of China for Excellent Young Scientists, the Key R&D Program of Guang Dong Province, and so on. He obtains the second prize of natural science award of China Computer Federation CCF. Dr. Yuis a distinguished member of CCF, a council member of CCF, a senior IEEE member and a senior ACM member.

Prof. Thomas Weise / Hefei University, China

Prof. Thomas Weise is Director of the Institute of Applied Optimization of the School of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data of the Hefei University. Before founding this institute, he was a computer scientist at the USTC-Birmingham Joint Research Institute in Intelligent Computation and Its Applications (UBRI) belonging to the School of Computer Science and Technology (SCST) of the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) for seven years. He received my doctorate in 2009 at the Distributed Systems Group of the University of Kassel in Germany.For more than a decade, He has worked on research in the field of optimization, mainly centered around Evolutionary Computation (EC) but also with various problem-specific local search (LS) methods and hybrid algorithms of EC and LS. His research is centered on the questions: "How can we help partners in the industry and in research to discover and solve their optimization problem, to make them more efficient?" and "How can we find out which optimization algorithm perform well, on which problem, and why (without investing much work)?"
Besides this, He is also the author of the open source bookbuildeR tool chain for automatic building, updating, and publishing of (online) e-books by using free continuous integration services and of the books "An Introduction to Optimization Algorithms" (created and regularly updated with that toolkit) and the (older) book "Global Optimization Algorithms - Theory and Application," which has been cited more than 850 times according to Google Scholar.
